Screen Color Test
Click the buttons to switch patterns, then click the pattern to view it in full-screen. Read the guide under each pattern to check your display color test performance.
What to look for (Gradients):
Look for smooth transitions between colors. If you see distinct vertical bands or lines, your monitor may have trouble displaying smooth gradients. This is known as "color banding".
Screen Color Test FAQ
What is the purpose of a screen color test?
A screen color test is designed to help you visually assess the quality and accuracy of your monitor's color reproduction. It uses specific patterns to highlight common issues like color banding (in gradients), poor contrast (in grayscale), and inaccurate saturation, which might not be obvious in daily use but are critical for photo editing, design work, and a premium viewing experience.
How do I interpret the grayscale test?
The grayscale pattern in our display color test shows shades from pure black to pure white. On a well-calibrated monitor, you should be able to distinguish each individual shade. If the darkest shades all look black (black crush) or the brightest shades all look white (white crush), your monitor's brightness or contrast settings may need adjustment for better performance.
